Marine equipment / Marine loading arms are mechanical devices consisting of steel pipes and swivels that connect to a tanker ship for the transfer of oil, gas and chemicals from ship to shore.
The swivels design must be able to cope with constant movement of both an oscillatory and reciprocating nature being generated by changing sea levels. They come in a variety of designs and require a reliable and integral sealing solution for product transfer to take place and meet all environmental legislation and safety requirements.
Here at DMR we are proud to be able to offer sealing solutions that meet with all these requirements. Our spring energised sealing range is usually adopted in our Fluoropolymer or PTFE materials for media transfer at temperatures of -196°C for the transference of liquid nitrogen on one end of the temperature spectrum up to +260°C on the other end.
